K5 registration & supply shopping

Well July 13,2015 we went and registered Avery for kindergarten. Still unsure and nervous about making a decision If we were going to send her to school or homeschool. I went to get a feel for the school and  see what it would be like. I filled out the paper work nervous and scared to send my baby to a school were I knew nobody. I still had a uneasy filling when we left. But they had the 10 commandments and In God we Trust in frames in the cafeteria where registration was being held. I talked to the principal who was really nice and to some PTO members that were there Who were also nice. Still uneasy feeling though. This is my baby and it's hard for me to send her off. They do have these cool firetruck and train at the school and Avery wanted her pic by them. And I took a pic of the new sign that they just put up the week before. left there still praying and thinking back and forth about everything. Here are some pics:

With lots and lots of thoughts, prayers, and talking it out , we decided to send our girl to school. As I was praying in the van one day riding down the road something came on the radio like they were talking right to me. The lady said something in the lines of why do we worry so much about our children, if we give it all to God including our children then everything will be ok. We can not hid them under a rock and shelter them from everything we just pray and believe that God has them in his hands. BOOM. It was like it hit me right in my face. I had so much anxiety and fear about her going to school. What are they going to teach my baby , I don't want her learning bad habits or anything else. I wanted to shelter her from the bad world. But then it was like I heard this and I said ok God I hear you. My children are in your hands. And I will still teach them your ways but I will loosing my reigns and you take them.
here are a couple pics from school supply shopping. She looks so grown in her uniform and yes she picked the donut bookbag :)
We had to take some documents back up to the school to finalize the registration. The principal was up there again. And we talked to her some more. She was so nice again and told me about all the renovations she had been doing in the previous 2 years that she has been there and that they plan on doing more. That made me feel better. Then I saw again in the office the 10 commandments and In God we Trust. Loved that being in there. We couldn't walk around and see the classrooms because the floors were being waxed but you could see the hall her class would be down. She said if I wanted to I could walk her in and come pick her up from her classroom everyday. And if I had any questions to ask her or any concerns to come tell her. She was so nice and seemed like she really cared. They also lock their doors at 7:30 and any visitors or late people have to come through the office. They also have bullet proof glass and cameras. Which all made me feel better. I think she is going to love school and I'm feeling so much better about her going. with the Lord giving me the strength and knowing he is watching over my baby all day makes me feel like we will be ok. Heres a pic of both #1 and # 2 playing on the train at Avery's new svhool.
God Bless! Keep this momma and my big girl in your prayers. This is def going to be a new adventure for all of us.

Confessions of a homeschooler

Confessions of a Homeschooler
I found this website months ago and I have loved going to it and printing her stuff off and looking at all her fun and amazing things she does with her kids.
I just bought the book Homeschooling 101
homeschooling101bookcover
Im just in the 1st chapter but I is helping me so much already. Its like she was ready right into my mind. I have felt God calling me to homeschool the girls but have had so much doubt and worry about if I would do a good job and if I will be teaching them enough.
She points out that alot of mothers feel this way when they are jumping into this new journey.
Im excited about homeschooling with the girls and so nervous at the same time.
I know that the Lord has called me to do this and that he will guide our steps and lead the way.
If you are thinking about homeschooling or on the fence about it , take the time and read this book.

Next step is to decide on curriculum.
I think I have narrowed it down to 2 and praying about it.
I know she is only in Kindergarten but this will be her base and I want something that will help me along with this 1st year also until I can get a good feel about it.

Any info or support that  any of you homeschooling moms can give would be awesome.

Have a Blessed Day,
Heather =]

Deuteronomy 11:19
Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

Ephesians 6:4
Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it

4D of our sweet baby Adlee Jean

We got to see our sweet new baby girl yesterday through a 3d/4d ultrasound.
I had been wanting to get it done but it was pretty pricey for us and we didnt
really have that extra money to spend on it. Well I had booked 2 sessions and a couple mini sessions and there we have it we had more than enough to do this ultrasound. I really wanted to do it but was still hesitent at spending that much money on it. Well Hubby called while I was doing mini sessions yesterday and got us an appointment at Sneak a Peek for 4. He came and told me and I was so excited! He said he knew I really wanted to do it and with the sessions I had done we could use that extra on this and he didnt want me to regret not doing something I really wanted to do.
So 4 was our appointment time.
We invited our parents to come join us because this place is Awesome and has 2 huge couches and a big screen TV where everyone could see our precious baby.
It was so nice , had a comfy twin bed for me to lay on and everything.
We started and she said man she is already a big baby , good thing you came in this week to do it or we wouldnt have been able to get any pics.
She is so Adorable!
Such a cute little baby, chubby cheeks, sweet little nose, pouty lips, just so Sweet!
She loved her arms and hands by her face. And she didnt want to move much during the ultrasound. Even though she told me to drink a caffinated drink before we come and then let me stop to walk around and do a hoola hop movement! lol And She moves ALL the time!
She said she doesnt have that much room left to move around in there and that I prob wont make it to 40 weeks. But we will see.
Im so glad that we went ahead and did this and that my hubby knows me so well and made the appointment for me.
I love this little girl so much aready and cant wait to hold her in my arms. =]
She is greatly Loved in this family!

Vday crafts

We did some super fun craft projects for Valentines Day this year.
The girls love crafts just as much as me and that makes me so happy and we are in our element when we have some crafty projects to do.

1st we took toilet paper rolls and I taped the top to make it look like hearts.
We picked out our pinks and red paints.
Put our table cloth down (Great idea when you dont want paint all over the table)

Gave each girl their plate with paint and a heart paper roll. They also used a piece of cardboard that I cut off of a box.

They got so excited seeing all the hearts they were making and were really excited to make this into Daddys valentines day card =]

Here is how the hearts turned out. So cute. It was free and super Fun!

on the back I let the girls water color paint and then we wrote Daddy a valentines message.
He Loved them and told the girls he even wanted to take them and put them at his desk at work =]

We also did a couple other crafts.
Here I let the girls paint the popsicle sticks and I hot glued them together and put them on some scrapbook paper. We hung it up in the living room.
I changed up the words on our little chalk board in the kitchen(the one below) and in our bedroom (not pictured).
And me and the girls made these cute banners. One for here and one for over the kitchen window.
Here the girls are making vday cards for family members :)

We had so much fun crafting for vday.
Love Making these memories with my girls.

God Bless,
Heather :)

We got a shed!!

My parents surprised us on Christmas Eve and told us that our big present from them was a Shed and that we could pick it up Friday from Lowes!!! Yay!! We had been talking about having to get one since we found out about baby blessing #3. So we were super excited about it.
So friday my dad went and picked it up and brought it to our house. :)
Sat morning Jake got up and ran to Lowe's to get a couple more things we needed to build it, and headed back home. We about ate lunch at my parents and then came home to work on putting it together.
Jake started with the base platform for it to.sit on. Just to keep if off the ground away from the weather and so it will be easier for us to move when we build our house. And of coarse Annaliese was all about helping daddy. So sweet :) And I helped put up the sides. Don't worry it wasn't very heavy so me and my lil butter bean were ok. :)
Well we worked til dark, which right now it gets dark at 5:30. Crazyness!! And had to wait a couple days to finish up because of rain and all.
But when we did we worked as a team. My hubby let me help as much as he knew I could. I love building things and doing all this type stuff so he knew I didn't want to just sit and watch. We gave high fives and said yay team Lewis multiple times. We laughed as did just had fun while we worked on the project.

We got it complete and I think we did an awesome job and it looks amazing :) (if I do say so myself lol )

I just loving doing projects together and love our growing family so much.

This past sat we started cleaning out the back room\junk room. I should have taken a before picture cause man O man when you have no where else to store things like an attic or a shed! Everything gets put into the junk room.
So we pulled almost everything out and i went through it all and got rid of alot. It covered the back of my van. I was proud of myself and Jake was proud of me. See I'm kinda sentimental about things and sometimes have anxiety about getting rid of things that mean something to.me. But I got rid of so much stuff and it didn't bother me not one time. Well maybe one time. Lol. But it's so good to make room for new things that will be sentimental and make more room for our growing family and sweet baby #3.

Avery is super excited about her new room. She has already told me the colors she wants it and where she wants to put her bed. Lol is she 4 or 14??? Lol

We are just so blessed that our families are so loving, caring, and supportive.
So thankful my parents bought us the shed.
We knew we needed and wanted one but getting one wasn't looking like in the budget for a while. So we are just so thankful and blessed.
God knows what he is.doing and we thank him for the big and little blessings :)

God Bless!
Heather :)

ICE ICE BABY

We found out some amazing news in Sept.2014.

ICE ICE BABY =]

We are expecting Baby Lewis # 3.
We couldn't be more excited and thankful.
We have prayed and prayed for another baby.
It has been almost 2 years we had been trying but not trying.
After every blessing over our food, both girls would say "Please let mommy have a baby."
So sweet. I love those girls =]

I was in shock at 1st because we had been trying so long and after taking many pregnancy test every month saying negative. I was at my parents house when I found out. I had a feeling so on the way home from dropping Avery off at school I stopped and bought a test. I came to my parents house , didnt say anything to my mom. I went to the bathroom and took the test. POSITIVE!!!! I sat there in shock and smiling from ear to ear. And of coarse I started crying and thanking the Lord over and over again. I heard my uncle come into the house so I waited to say anything to my mom. I dried my face off and calmed myself down, trying to not make it obvious that I knew something that they didnt know. Finally my uncle left and as he was walking out my sis n law walked in. So I waited longer. I didnt want to tell anyone but my mom at 1st cause I wanted to tell the hubby 1st.
Well I snuck my mom in the other room where I had hid the pregnancy test. And said look!!!!
She was so happy/ nervous cause she wanted everything to be good.
So we walked back out and acted normal.
We all loaded into my sis n laws tahoe and headed to pick up Avery from school.
I was so excited and just so happy that I couldnt hold it in.
So after we picked up Avery we stopped by Dollar General to let the girls use the bath room before we headed to the thrift  stores (treasure hunting).
When we came back out she was sitting in the drivers seat and I was in the passenger seat and I said look at this cool pic I got. She was thinking it was a pic of the kids doing something funny in the bathroom. But to her surprise is was my pregnancy test I had taken earlier.
She screamed and was so excited . I said I just couldnt hold it in =]

We headed to treasure hunt in ocean springs and was trying to think of the best way to tell my hubby.
I made a plan and my sis n law was going to record the whole thing.

Finally my hubby got off work and  got to my parents. It seemed like FOREVER.
My dad , bro, mom, sis n law, and all the kids were all there. Nobody else knew yet , just us girls.
I waited on my hubby to get in the living room to sit down to tell him, But he would NEVER sit down lol. He was talking to my dad and watching something on TV eating a pickle.
So I said lets just do it , cause it was just killing me I was so excited.

I walked up to him with a metal box from one of our wedding showers and inside was the test wrapped in a yellow polka dot bow and a letter that said "Baby Lewis #3 is on the way! Hooray! "
I said look at this cool stuff I got today. He puts the pickle in his mouth and starts to look in the box.
He said WAAAA with the pickle still in his mouth. lol He then took the pickle out of his mouth and handed it to me and said you could have told me to take the pickle out of my mouth! lol He then said , Alright . YAY Im so excited! =]  Maybe this one will be a boy. lol

Then my dad said what your pregnant? And we said YES!!! =]
He said welp that makes 8 grandkids. Congrats.
My parents are so excited!

We then texted the picture of the test to Jakes parents.
His mom called us back crying and saying Congrats and how excited they were.

I love our babies so much and I feel so blessed to be able to have another one.
I pray that they always stay in Gods Will and Love him everyday of their lives.
I pray that me and my hubby will be great examples for them and show so much love and care like our father shows us.

So that is the story of how we found out about Baby Lewis # 3 =]

God Bless!
