On Dec 18,2010 after the christmas party in Trussville, we met my family at the Polar express in Celera ,Al about 45 min from where we were.
Its a train ride supposed to be like the movie The Polar Express. So i had alot in my mind that this would be like.
When we got there we stood in line and then the conductor said "All Aboard the Polar Express",, they stamped our tickets and we got one... they had the train decorated a little and had a banner that said "Believe" on it. We road the train for about 15 min and a guy read the book of the Polar Express and sang a couple Christmas songs... we got to the "north Pole" and we happend to be on the side of the train where you really couldnt see the north pole or santa sitting outside.. which was a bummer... but then Santa came on the train... we were the last train car so it took him a little while to get to us... Elfs came in our train and brought Bells for everybody.. then came in Santa and Mrs.Clause... they came by took a couple pics with the kids and signed the Polar express book we had.... and then were gone... then some cooks brought us a sugar cookie and choc milk... elfs came in again and brought us ornaments. Then it was over... it was about an hour long... I def expected more out of it.. The kids liked it... Avery loved the cookie.. but dont think it was worth driving 4 hours to go to. I thought it would be more like the movie , more lights, singing and dancing,, hot chocholate.. santa talking to the kids for a little more than 2 min.... But it was packed out... but maybe those people expected more too and then got in there and it wasnt as wonderful as i had it pictured in my head! But here are some pics i took while we were there...

So We were thinking maybe next year to go to Siverhill and see what there train ride is all about.. My dad was telling him someone said it was alot of fun and had lots for the kids to do.
Sounds better to me cause its only an hour away and its cheaper.. :]
Stay true to your heart and always follow your heart!
God Bless,
Heather :]
