Walking Bay Bay... All the Family get -togethers in Dec.

Well since I wrote last my little baby girl Annaliese has started walking! She is almost 15 months(on the 11th she will be 15 months)...But lets just have a recap of the fun get-togethers in Dec.
 And starting of Dec... it was a full month of celebrating and family/ friends get togethers. I loved every minute of it. Well the 1st weekend of Dec I was doing Christmas Mini sessions all day for my photography business... www.heatherlewisphoto.info ... Check me out and follow if you dont already =] Those sessions went awesome and got some good shots =] Happy Clients make me happy =] And my hubby goes with me on long Mini days to help out and be my assistant. It makes me happy to spent time with him and for him to see my in action. He never complains and is so sweet to me and my clients =] Best Hubby /Assistant I could ask for =] Here are a some pics from a couple of the sessions I had that day =]

2nd weekend of Dec.. we had a Christmas Party with our friends this weekend.. fri and sat . Both Annual Events that we look forward to !
Fri night was with our besties The Camps. We ate hamburger, cooked and decorated sugar, made yummy hot chocloate from scratch, and went to Christmas in Alabama in Grand Bay to see the lights. It was so much fun! Avery had a blast making the cookies.

Sat.. we went to Lesleys house and celebrated with our besties across the bay. We had tons of food (pot luck) , yummy desserts, cute lil christmas cups, hot choc with candycane stirers, presents, and just so much fun! We took tons of pics and laughed all day into the night. Well this was the start of my baby walking more than 2 steps... she took 6 steps to me.. and this mommy almost cried!

A day this week me and the girls went over to my grandma's house(weekly thing we do) and we were outside playing in the leaves and she walked 10 steps... 10 steps.. ahhhhh.. then ever since that day she has just started walking all over the place and looks like she is trying to run too! lol Its the cutest thing, but makes me sad cause my baby is growing up. But thankful for a healthy baby that can walk.


The next weekend we had christmas with my moms side of the family. This was the 1st time some of us have seen each other in 2 years. It was so good to see everyone and meet a new member to the family. My cousin Brandy had a baby boy and he is 4 months old (I believe) he is so cute and so chunky. He weighs prob the same as Annaliese and is so strong! Lots of laughs and fun that day.

Christmas Eve at My parents house. We got over there bout 12 and stayed all day and night. We wear our Pjs(matching for the ladies)(normally all the kids match but this year we werent able to get them matching ones,, but my girls matched each other and my nieces and nephew matched each other)  and we eat open presents , and play all day. Of coarse my parents always go above and beyond buying presents for everyone! Blessed to have parents that have always loved giving us presents to open on christmas. Even when we were little, they tried to make our christmas' so special, even when we didnt have much money! Love those 2 people so much! They dont have to do as much as they do to give to others ,even when they dont have it to give...but they do and I feel so blessed to call them my parents.

Christmas Day my kids woke up to their 1st year Santa came to visit. He left half a cookie , no milk, a letter, and presents. We were so excited to have Santa come this year. Avery walked in and didnt really get it then we were telling her all about Santa coming and eating the cookies and drinking the milk. Leaving them presents and look he even left yall a letter. They LOVED their new kitchen from santa and the pots and pans. Jake read them their letter and Santa told them to always remember the true meaning of christmas was Jesus' birth and never forget that. I think its so important to teach your children the true meaning of christmas. Yes everyone loves presents but why did this day start, why do we get presents, why do we put up a christmas tree ?  You have to teach them the real reasoning behind everything. I love my husband and love that he is a Godly man! I love that we will teach our children the right things and hopefully they will never get so caught up in the material things in life they forget the true meaning of christmas and why we are here on this earth.

Well we left our house and got to the In-Laws house around 2,,,, we had presents , yummy food , and sang Happy Birthday to Jesus then Avery blew the candles out on the cake. Thankful for christian In-laws that celebrate Jesus' birth with us and also teach my kids the true meaning. Family is so important to us. Even though they live an hour away we want our girls to feel close to them too. And they love them and love spending time with them.

Thurs. we had christmas at my brothers house for the whole Cowart gang. Everybody brought food and we played dirty santa. My grandparents opened up their presents from everyone and the kids opened up some presents too. Then we had a mini photo shoot with my grandparents, everyone took their turn to take pics with them and then we took a big group pic( using my new tripod my wonderful hubby got me for christmas) =]

We left the next day heading to Union ,Ms ( jakes dads side of the family get-together). They are always so much fun to be around. So laid back, country, and welcoming. We love seeing them and wish we could see them more. We stayed with the Smith Bunch (aka Rosey & Uncle James house) Avery re met her cousin Colt and they had a ball playing together. She was like his little shadow lol (he is 5). And they met their new cousin Ryanne (she is a month older than Annaliese) and her and Annaliese played and played and had so much fun. I cooked Taco Soup for everyone and they loved it. Big hit with everybody and some had never eaten it. They liked it so much I had to make it the next day to take to the get- together! lol We played Phase 10, ate, and laughed. Of coarse we had to slip in a couple pictures =] Sunday , we went to church with the Smith bunch , came back to their house and ate hotdogs for lunch, then went to see the chickens, goats , and horses. Annaliese and Jake even road a horse. Avery refused to ride one! lol She loves them from far away but when they get close she wants nothing to do with them! lol. So she watched. I wanted to ride but time ran out and it was getting cool so next time i will have my turn. It was so much fun !

Well that was all of our Christmas Activites we did with the Family! We love all of them and are so blessed to have such a wonderful big family! =]
